What is Qi? Qi (pronounced "chi") can be defined as a combination of life force, energy and consciousness. Gong means practice or cultivation. Qigong is a comprehensive physical and emotional self-cultivation process that has been used to heal thousands of people all over the world. Through visualization, sound, mental concentration and guided imagery, regeneration of every cell and organ of the body is possible. Qigong offers a methodology to rediscover the inner medicine - qi, the vital and healing resource within us all - and to magnify the exchange between ourselves and nature. This can enable us to discover and fuse with the infinite creative power of the universe that ultimately is the origin of love, compassion and the source of all healing.
Wisdom Healing Qigong
Qigong practice is a simple and yet profound method to relax into a natural state of health and vitality. Qigong is easy to learn and practice. Using gentle movements, intention, guided visualizations, and sound, many health benefits can be achieved. These include: reduced stress and deep relaxation, which helps open energy pathways, improving overall physical and emotional health; increased oxygen in the blood which nourishes cells, tissues, organs, and muscles; increased capacity for learning and sharper mental functions; and improved stamina, posture, and balance. Wellness is increased, you feel good! Qigong is considered easier to learn than Tai Chi; however, they both cultivate energy and produce many of the same health benefits. Wisdom Healing Qigong is suitable for everyone, of all ages. It is practiced either standing or seated. Wisdom Healing Qigong: Among the many styles of qigong, this is one of the most powerful. It was created by Dr. Pang Ming, an extraordinary qigong Grandmaster. By combining his profound knowledge of Chinese medicine with modern science, he has revived the ancient Chinese internal cultivation of qigong as a healing art, as well as a modern science of body-mind. He founded the largest medicine-less hospital in China, where Wisdom Healing Qigong has been used to study mind-body science and its applications to self-healing. The Wisdom Healing Qigong Center (the Zhineng Qigong Center) has treated more than 200,000 patients with over 185 diseases with an overall success rate of 95%. Currently over 10 million people practice Wisdom Healing Qigong worldwide. Level I Practice Includes: Lift Qi Up and Pour Qi Down: 25 minutes of gentle body movements synchronized with meditative visualization to open blockages and promote the exchange of internal and external qi. Three Centers Merge Standing Method: For proper alignment of body and centering of the mind, this powerful posture is designed to root the body into the earth, connect the three main meridians and collect qi in the center of the body. The method can quickly strengthen the body and balance energy. La Qi: While using simple movements of opening and closing the hands, the mind visualizes the expansion and contraction of qi in the rhythm of life regeneration. It is a simple yet powerful way to gather universal energy - external qi. Wall Squats: Using gentle up and down (squatting) movements while facing a wall, this practice corrects spinal structure and relaxes the whole body. A very effective method for stress reduction.
